Refresh Schedule Plan

The Refresh schedule plan form allows you to set the criteria to recalculate the FMP (Forward material plan). All the calculated data is then visible on the Schedule plan form and all the linked tabs.

The form can be accessed from the Schedule plan form, by clicking the    (Refresh) button, by clicking the  (Wizards) button and selecting Refresh from the dropdown menu, or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + 1.

Below is a description of the form’s features.

Table of contents

  1. Refresh schedule
  2. Take into Account
  3. Buttons
  4. Selected Calculation Parameters

1. Refresh schedule

In this section, you can set if the tools, resources, and employee requirements will be used in the recalculation.

Tools scheduling

If checked, it recalculates the tools requirements.

Resource scheduling

If checked, it recalculates the resource requirements.

Employee scheduling

If checked, it recalculates the employee requirements.

2. Take into Account

In this section, you can set a wide variety of parameters to be used in the recalculation.

Fill in Parameters

When checked, it checks all the parameters in the section, except Simplified and Mass Calculation.

Plans

If checked, it uses plan lines in the recalculation.

(Plans) From

Enter or select a date that, together with the checked parameter Take into Account Only Current Deadline, determines the current plan lines.

Plan BOMs

If checked, it uses plan BOMs when recalculating. If they do not exist, active alternates of product specifications are used.

Reduce quantities

If checked, it reduces the quantities required in the lines of plan by reducing the quantities from stock or production.

Current Plan Only

If checked, only the current plan is used in recalculation.

If left unchecked, all plans with the Z - Finished status are used when recalculating.

Recalculates only plans of the same document type, unless the document type is entered with the plan document types in the settings of the current plan.

Stock

If checked, it uses available stock (inflows) at warehouses when recalculating. Only warehouses selected in the document type settings of the source plan are used.

Min. Stock

If checked, the minimum required stock of the warehouse is taken into account when recalculating.

Sales Orders

If checked, it uses approved sales orders when recalculating.

If a specific line of a sales order was already transferred to the plan, it is not used in the recalculation.

(Sales Orders) From

Enter or select the date that, together with the checked parameter Take into Account Only Current Deadlines, determines the current lines of sales orders.

Purchase Orders

If checked, it uses approved purchase orders when recalculating.

(Purchase Orders) From

Enter or select the date that, together with checked parameter Take into Account Only Current Deadlines, determines the current lines of purchase orders.

Allocations

If checked, it uses unissued quantities of the planned components of work orders, which have been released from the manufacturing specifications.

(Allocations) From

Enter or select the date that, together with the checked parameter Take into Account Only Current Deadlines, determines the current allocations in the work orders.

Work in Progress

If checked, it uses unfinished (not yet received to warehouse) planned quantities from the released work orders.

(Work in Progress) From

Enter or select the date that, together with the checked parameter Take into Account Only Current Deadlines, determines the current allocations in work orders.

Postpone Expired Deadlines If checked, expired deadlines will be postponed to selected date.
(Postpone Expired Deadlines) To Enter or select the date that, together with the checked parameter Postpone Expired Dealines, determines the new date for expired deadlines.

Alternate State

Select the status of alternates that will be used in the recalculation.

You can choose from:

  • Preparation /Changing – the alternate is in the state of preparation or changing.
  • Sampling / Testing – the alternate is in the state of sampling or testing.
  • Validated – the alternate is validated and in production.

Dismantle into Sublevels

If checked, it dismantles specifications into the sublevel structure of products, when recalculating the schedule.

If left unchecked, the specifications are dismantled to the first level, that is, only to the directly adherent components.

To Level

Set the level to which the specification structure dismantling should be performed.

Take into Account and Calculate Deadlines

If checked, sets which schedules will be used in the recalculation. Fields From are available for parameters Plans, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Allocations, Work in Progress.

Simplified

If checked, simplifies the calculation of scheduling plan. All materials will be set at the start time of the plan and all products will be set at the end time of the plan.

The checkbox is visivle only if Take into Account and Calculate Deadlines is checked.

Mass Calculation

If checked, the faster way for scheduling plan calculation is enabled. It calculates the plan considering the levels not the dates.

It can be selected only, if the Simplified is checked or if Take into Account and Calculate Deadlines is not selected.

Take into Account only Current Deadlines

If checked, it uses only current data, that is data from the date entered in the field From, when recalculating.

Take into Account Order Quantity of Materials

If checked, it causes a minimum amount of material and packaging to be used when recalculating the requirements.

The surplus occurring due to packaging is used later on.

Take into account resources without scheduling If checked, resources are taken into account without scheduling them.

3. Buttons

Use buttons to recalculate the schedule plan.

Refresh

By clicking the button, you recalculate the schedule plan according to the selected parameters.

 (S – Execute code)

By clicking the button, you execute the code.

4. Selected Calculation Parameters

The table is constructed in the following manner:

Data source (Plan, Stock, Sales Order, etc.)

Parameters used in the recalculation.
